This package or some dependency is now failing trying to install lib32-jack2 when pipewite-jack is used (which is much more stable than jack2). Arch AUR libs keep trying to include this when they shouldn't.
To work around the issue run: "yay -S -dd proton-ge-custom-bin"

I highly suspect that the vast majority of the shared libraries this package depends on are actually unnecessary and can be removed safely. Of course this would require further testing.
Does anyone know the background of lib32-gst-plugins-base-libs being dropped from arch multilib? There's nothing on https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/arch-multilib@lists.archlinux.org/ . Since it is gone am unable to install proton-ge-custom-bin and even lib32-gst-plugins-base-libs-git itself has many many lib32 dependencies that are only in AUR. So just wondering what happened.
I built this and successfully added it to my custom repo with repo-add. But pacman from other computers could not find the file to download. I assume it was because of the colon or space in the package file name. I commented out the epoch from the PKGBUILD and recompiled. With the cleaner file name it worked fine.
Might a bump to lib32-openssl (3.6.x) be feasible?
For the time I fixed the FSR4 issue manually by symlinking /usr/share/steam/compatibilitytools.d/proton-ge-custom/files/lib/wine/amdprop to a writable directory.
Just tested it, FSR4 fails to download still.
I suppose the best way to go about it, if the download process doesn't get changed in the upstream, might be to replicate the download steps in the PKGBUILD? Failing that, if one doesn't want every user installing this package to be hitting AMD's download servers, could have a second PKGBUILD on the AUR perhaps, that includes the steps to download the AMD blob for FSR4 support. Some proton-ge-custom-bin-fsr4.
