For anyone who hasn't discovered this already, you can ameliorate the impact of delayed AUR version updates by setting the following in your ~/.config/discordcanary/settings.json file:

So how comes discord-canary is back in the AUR and out of the official repos...? Is that because of the nonfree license?

this is failing to build in a chroot since it depends on openssl-1.1 which is listed as a dep
